Home Mastery IQ is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly: When you complete the Home Mastery IQ quiz, you enter details about your home — year built, home type, ZIP code, system types and ages, and your name if you choose to provide it. When you create an account, we store your email address and authentication details.

Information from authentication providers: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from that service. We do not access your contacts, calendar, or other account data.

Information we do not collect: Home Mastery IQ does not collect financial information, government IDs, Social Security numbers, or sensitive personal data of any kind.

Usage data: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous data about how the app is used — which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and which features are used. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

How We Use Your Information

• To generate and display your personalized maintenance plan
• To calculate your Home Health Score and task urgency
• To send maintenance reminders if you opt in
• To process Pro subscription payments via Stripe
• To improve the app based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising targeting.

Data Storage

When you create an account, your home profile, task completions, and preferences are stored securely in our database hosted by Supabase (cloud infrastructure). Your data is protected by row-level security — only you can access your own data. If you use the app without creating an account, quiz data is stored temporarily in your browser session only.

Cookies and Local Storage

Home Mastery IQ uses browser cookies and local storage to make the app work and to understand how it's being used.

Cookies: Google Analytics sets cookies on your browser to measure anonymous usage patterns (such as which pages are visited and how long sessions last). These cookies do not identify you personally. You can block or delete these cookies through your browser settings, or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser extension.

Local storage: The app stores certain information directly in your browser's local storage, including your quiz responses, preferences, and session data. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us unless you create an account. Clearing your browser's site data will remove this information.

Third-Party Services

Home Mastery IQ uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. We do not store your credit card details — Stripe handles all payment data securely.
• Resend — email delivery for maintenance reminders.
• Google Fonts — for typography. Google may log font requests per their standard terms.
• Affiliate links — In the future, the App may participate in affiliate programs, which means we may earn a commission if you purchase products through links in the App, at no additional cost to you. Any such relationships will be disclosed at that time.
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage tracking. You can opt out via standard browser privacy tools or the Google Analytics opt-out extension.

Your Rights

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your Account Settings page. This permanently removes your home profile, task history, and preferences from our systems. You may also contact us at the address below to request data deletion.
